March 31, 2024 - Bought in 2012 at the winery. This was a pretty wine. The Malbec and Cab Sauvignon blend beautifully and cut some of the green you get on pure Malbecs. This is made in a more robust style but it isn’t sweet or clawing like so many new world reds. A well made wine that has more life to it. No fade over an hour and a half dinner. It’s not 100% my style of wine but it is a great example of what it is.

April 25, 2021 - Still very dark. The nose is richly inviting with soft damson fruit and some spiciness. Firm but terrifically integrated palate. Very elegant. Likely to hold steady for another 5 years.

April 21, 2021 - Consistent with my last note from seven years ago. Drinking well. The nose has softened with rolling dark fruit notes. Lots of raspberries. I’d add add ripe dark plumb as well. 5+12+16+8=91

January 22, 2021 - Drinking very well. Deep and dark with intense currant, berry and dark plum fruit. Not hugely complex but pure with nice balance and a long juicy finish.

February 4, 2018 - Much improved since my last bottle 2.5 years ago. Purchased at the winery in Mendoza. Drank this with non-geeks at a Superbowl party. I ordered a steak. Some tang on pop n pour. Really smooth. After 60 minutes, the tang was still there. Needs time. My non-geek friends enjoyed this.

December 4, 2017 - Young, deep and spicy. Plenty of tannin, fruit and acidity. Give this time to integrate.

March 11, 2017 - popped and served through a venturi - well balanced, fruit forward but with a solid spine and well mannered tannins. Ready to go and a great quaff.

November 25, 2016 - Well balanced currant, graphite, mocha, black fruit, black cherry skin. Improved a little on day 2. 90+ likely to improve a bit further. Good buy @ $29, only bought this one however.
