October 17, 2021 - LAKE.VINO and others described this well. Intense flavors, with a bit more density than expected, as the smoke/earth/herb/bacon/soy vied with the dark blue and black fruit, on both nose and palate. Nearly pungent notes at times (while not quite sour per KVM) curiously as tannin and acidity were in harmony, balanced, and integrated. Quite expressive when opened, decanted 30 minutes. Some fine sediment to let settle. Interesting and enjoyable, can't imagine it improving with more time, might have been fresher fruit a while ago as notes suggest. Was great with food, roast chicken.

July 8, 2021 - This is just a glorious example of northern Rhone Syrah - reminiscent of Cote Rotie in the more elegant style it evokes. Violets, lavender, bacon fat, blueberry, black pepper, tobacco smoke, great complexity. Palate balanced with a strong acidity, t3nnins largely resolved. Good dark fruit with supporting secondary notes. Only complaint I have is the finish is a bit short, relative to the complexity of the wine.

June 8, 2021 - Peaked. Solid acid and fruit, medium-full body. Nice finish. This was my last bottle and I'm glad I waited.

April 22, 2021 - Dark red w/lots of fine sediment. Smoked meat, cherry liquor, a little sour. Flavour goes deep and has richness but it’s not so wide. rather muddled, nutty and a little volatile but I’m enjoying it.

June 3, 2020 - Last bottle of this - in a great place right now. Typical Northern Rhone aromas - leather, cured meats, blue and black fruits. The palate is glorious - tannins pretty much resolved. There's a sweetness on the palate - almost (just a hint) something tropical. moderate finish with some chalkiness to it. Made it through three day just. It will last longer, but I imagine will start to decline soon.
