    August 30, 2021 - Reddish garnet color.
    Cork was saturated and soft.
    Keft in bottle to breathe.
    Funky at first.
After 30-60 minutes it was improved.
Raspberry, spuce, a little floral in the nose.
Tannins started offdry and rough but smoothed out with a little air.
    Decent, not great.

October 2, 2015 - I was shocked, thinking the bottle would be dead. No, it was alive, and enticing. Think about savory spices, a bit of dark fruit, and tongue coating flavors, and perfumed aromas.

January 12, 2014 - The color is like crushed brick with some sediment in the bottom of the glass. The wine has crazy legs. I note the legs because they decorate my glass, not because I understand its relationship to wine (PS: witness room temperature distillation, that's what the legs are).
The wine definitely shows some aromas that only come from time; it's like a leather baseball mitt you found and used to grab some wild black raspberries from the patch. The baseball glove leather was scratched by the thorns in the briar patch (i.s. raspberry patch) while you used it to protect your hand hand grab some fruit. The fruit was smashed a little by the glove, breath in, and that's what I smell in the bottle.

June 13, 2011 - Dark ruby red with a light rim. At first, it has a smokey beef stock aroma. It picks up some menthol and cardamon spice. it is medium bodied, and tannic. The finish is short, and a bit rough. Acidity is present, but not dominant. Still an adolescent.

November 18, 2010 - Thursday night football (Shane's abode): nose: this was an ever changing nose over the evening and when first visited blind it showed off etheral tones of roasted herbs, dark red florals, bits of gamey tones, and dark red fruits. With a bit more air a lot of chinese 5-spice emerged as well as more dark red cherries

taste: lovely and robust medium feel with medium+ acidity along with lively tones of dark red fruits, chinese 5-spice, earth tones, bits of peppery tones and dark red cherries. Well balanced with a real refined sense to it right now

overall: This was blind and was one of the wines I submitted. This was double decanted and bottle aired for about 45 minutes before drinking. This changed a lot over the evening, but showed off its wares once I switched it to a pinot glass. There was some bricking, but there was a very nice and vibrant medium ruby color to the wine as well
