  January 8, 2008 - Had this in a wine bar in Toledo Spain. This was one the owner's favorite wines in his collection and went really well with tapas. I bought two bottles to bring back home with me. Both were memorable and delicous when I drank them. I would seek this out.

A dark purple red color with moderate aromas of cedar wood, currants, and black cherry. The palate is flavorful with juicy black fruit intermixed with spice. Dry, medium to medium heavy bodied, with tart lively acidity, weak astringent tannins, and a medium finish. I would not have guessed this to be a Bordeaux blend if tasted blind. More reminiscent of a Rhone style Grenache. A good wine none the less. 3/5

  Deep purple/red inky. The nose shows smoke, mint, raspberry, and light minerally earth. Big in the mouth with a firm acidity, and soft but large tannins. Flavors of cherry, rich fruit, a touch of pepper, some minerals, and oak. Well made, and probably will get better with 2-3 years of laying down. 3.5/5
