January 7, 2024 - Have always found this wine a little underwhelming and lacking complexity. It’s good, but I will probably not go out of my way to buy again. They seem to have too many cru type wines that suck away the best fruit from this riserva and anata leaving both a bit sterile

August 16, 2023 - Italian evening at Nick's (Chez Nick): Quite a dark red. Killer rich and succulent fruit leaps from the glass, this is leafy, herbal, balanced and fresh. In a good spot, no real signs of age at 15, perhaps the magnum has slowed it down. Another great bottle that I thought was the best of this flight, top drawer.

August 16, 2023 - Ferragosto feast! (Chez Nick): Magnum. In a great place - as I'd expected, having enjoyed this wine last year. Still fresh and fruit-driven, but absolutely comfortable in its own skin. Bright strawberry on the nose, then gorgeous deep, layered berry fruit on the palate (which was perhaps my single favourite wine attribute of the entire evening). Moreish and succulent, with the bottle seeming to evaporate!
