January 13, 2020 - Very rewarding in its category; intense, dense, long, lots of heat, black and white pepper, (overly) ripe red berries, a bit of "kidney". Very much a food wine, to go with meat dishes, lasagne or a casserole.

October 8, 2018 - Lovely wine with dark fruit, herbs, spice, asphalt and soft tannins. Still more years in this bottle.

March 26, 2017 - Very well-made Gigondas wine sourced from 75-85 years old vines (garrigues and sandstone soils), cultivated according the principles of biodynamic viticulture. Varietal composition: 80 percent Grenache, 20 percent Mourvèdre. Maturation: aged for 18 months in concrete vats, no oak treatment. Dark ruby-red in color with a slight lightening at the edge and a beautiful nose offering intense scents of blackberry, violets, licorice and a lot of smoky tones. The powerful but elegant palate reveals ample cherry and blackberry fruit, sweet spices, good depth and well-integrated tannins. Lengthy, spicy finish. This wine is deliciously drinkable now and should continue to drink well for the next 3-4 years.

    May 16, 2016 - Austere nose

Tannins pronounced in relatively light body; several layers of mineral, finishing with a slight tingle

    December 17, 2015 - 80% grenache, 20% mourvedre; cement tank
Clean licorice and some spices. Fresh, and medium light body, but fairly high alcohol at 14.5%. Slightly bitter finish. There's a tannic structure from the Mourvèdre.
This simple and rustic, but at the same time pure and refreshing and in its style, very good.
On its own the bitter note dominates to some extent. With some goat cheese and crispy flatbread it is very good. The pizza overwhelmed it.

March 17, 2015 - Very nice. Classic Gigondas. Should easily last another 5 to 7 years.
