June 10, 2020 - Overnight airtime in 250ml glass container. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of smelly dirty animal (good way), fresh red cherries, earth, Provencal herbs, garrigue. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (15% carried well, doesn't feel like it), medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet dark red plums, fresh red cherries, garrigue, earth, Provencal herbs and warm spices, leathery animal meat overarching. Long finish.
Very good quality. Rather classic tasting, with the added touch of brett. Time to drink and enjoy. Did well in this off-vintage. Could have played to its advantage.
    80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 6% Mourvèdre, 3% Cinsault, 1% other varieties.

January 13, 2020 - Drinks very well right now. I'd drink up by 2021 at the latest if I had more left. Overall, light enough, with some fresh strawberry notes.

December 28, 2019 - Huge improvement from tasting this wine over 2 years ago and with room to improve further. Still some slightly bitter tannins on the back end to resolve. Nose is the standout at this point. Give it another year or two.

December 23, 2019 - Very balanced nose. Caramel and earthy notes.

May 25, 2019 - 4th Saturday Brown Bagger (Our house): Double blind. Aromas of dark fruit and something odd which we all struggled to identify. I could only describe it as what I think a stale peep must smell like- not a good thing. Much better on the palate though, showing red berry fruit, earth and spice. Another that I struggled to identify- no guess.
