May 17, 2023 - My first experience with Tusk and it lived up to expectations. Elegant and as smooth as any wine I have enjoyed. I rated on par with 2012 Dana Helms, which was a bit richer. Nice problem to ponder.

April 27, 2022 - Had to open my last bottle because of my receipt of the allocation received of my magnum this week. What a beautiful presentation of this wine the 2018. Came in a linen wrapped package !!

I decided to open the 09' and decanted for nearly 8 hours. What more can I say .... fabulous and rich modern Napa Cabernet. Clearly one of the standards of the modern style. Nose has tremendous aromatics which at 13 years is still very much present. Blackberry, cassis, wet iron and asphalt. In mouth totally creamy and almost rum raisin ice cream rich. The depth of the in mouth flavors is staggering. Starts with sweet Cassis moves on to tobacco leaf, then iron, then sweet port wine, then lingering in mouth feel of tobacco ash, bell pepper and mulberry. This is a stunning wine which in near perfect condition right now at 13 years old. I am so overwhelmed and am stating this is a 99 score of a near perfect example of a wine.

August 1, 2020 - Good but a notch below the ‘15 on the night.

May 5, 2020 - 15.4% abv. Dark garnet plum color. Slow red staining of tears. Incredible nose with loads of berries, blackberry bush, loamy earth, eucalyptus, sense some heat but to be expected with high alc. Full in mouth, very silky smooth with fine grained tannins. Finish that lasts minutes. Blackberry and raspberry coulis, spice box, dark chocolate, cherry black tea, California dirt. An extraordinary wine that has decade+ ahead but fine to drink now with 2hr decant.

February 18, 2020 - Beautiful, polished almost subtle Cab. Lingering finish, velvety texture and certainly one of the best wines I've tasted
