December 31, 2012 - Light, tawny red, relatively cloudy - sediment evident in suspension despite having stood upright for 36 hours (a lot of sediment at the bottom of the bottle too). Clean nose, cherries, prunes, leather, hint of caramel, some spice. Full palate, almost a little hot, however not heavy at all, long finish. Nice port, probably reaching the end of its life.

November 16, 2012 - Black cherry, plum, white pepper, spice, and some earthy notes. More fruitforward and fuller bodied than the Vargellas.
