September 30, 2022 - Still rich with butterscotch nuance. Still warm with alcohol. Rich golden color. Did not drink like a 27 yr old chardy, maybe half that.

September 6, 2021 - Warm rich figgy fruit on the palate with preserved lemon and intense notes of grapefruit rind, acids sneaking in at the back. Many layers in space and time. Savory notes on the nose, nuts and sherry, green olives, a whisper of vanilla, a bit of rusty old iron. So interesting to taste a Chardonnay of this age. The finish goes on forever. 13.8% alcohol.

June 23, 2021 - Rich yellow gold. Shy, lightly oxidized nose of marmalade and lemon rind with a hint of vanilla. Very smooth full bodied fruit on the palate, honeyed quince and bitter grapefruit rind, some nutty notes at the back, acids reduced to a light but essential frame around the edges, like a light vinegary salad dressing on a salad full of dried fruits and nuts. A finish that goes on forever, echoing around the edges of the palate. Something essentially sweet and sour and beautifully balanced in the end. 13.8% alcohol.

August 23, 2020 - On the nose, salinity, dried apricots, and white pepper. Unctuous honeyed fruit on the palate with a warm glow of acid and a crisp citrus rind bitterness at the back.
