Community Tasting Notes 4

April 26, 2019 - Very pronounced nose of lichees, flowers, and some mulling spice. Full bodied. Palate of peach pit, lychee, and some nutty notes (almond extract). An orchard fruit and lychee richness/sweetness that gives the impression of an off dry wine, though it finishes dry and with a persistent acidity that carries the finish. A very nice wine and a crazy value. Drink now.

September 16, 2015 - Jaune doré. Nez de litchi et de rose. En bouche, notes de caramel, belke acidité bien intégré. Vin rond, velouté et bien équilibré. Excellent!

July 27, 2013 - Medium yellow color. Aromas of lychee, flowers, peach, and cherry. Palate has floral lychee with a peach center that carries into a cherry and floral finish that is medium-long. This is easy to like and drinks well on its own. Has character to make it more than just a fruit-cocktail caricature of Gewurztraminer. Drink or hold.

July 5, 2013 - Bright yellow color. Aromas of apricot, peach, rose, and lemon. Palate has a stony quality underneath floral apricot and lemon fruit. This doesn't have the oily lychee qualities that Gewurztraminer often exhibits, and the stoniness is atypical, possibly a site signature. Very compelling stuff. Drink or hold.
