Ruby morphing into garnet.
Hint of sweetness still apparent.
Enjoyable and still ok for 3/4 years.
August 9, 2022 - Deep ruby.
Still lots of dark fruits on the nose & palate, with vanilla and hint of sweetness. Also earth/leather on the palate.
Still drinking well, flattened out a little, probably good for another 3-5 years.
May 11, 2022 - Dark berry nose with balanced dark berry fruit on the palate, appropriate acidity and modest tannins. Moderate length finish.
January 16, 2021 - Dark ruby.
Blackcurrants, black cherry, cinnamon nose.
Similar palate with a hint of sweetness/candy.
Very well balanced with long finish.
Very good wine, still drinking very well.
November 13, 2020 - It's been 6 years since I had this, when it greatly impressed. No bricking on the color, still lots of red fruit and dusty tannins, with sage, spice and tobacco, and a long finish. Still very good, especially with food.
February 1, 2020 - Medium bodied, blackberries maybe cinnamon on the nose. Drinking well.
December 28, 2019 - Dark berry nose. Fruit forward palate of dark berries, mocha and leather. Soft tannins and acidity. Lengthy finish.
August 20, 2016 - Deep ruby red in color. Cherry on the nose. The palate is predominantly cherry and a bit of blackberry with some floral notes, toasted oak and tart red fruit from the prominent but nice acidity. This acidity is bright now and will dissipate as the wine ages. Medium to long finish. Decanted for over an hour. This is solid now but should be even better in a couple years.
April 9, 2016 - Cherry nose. Tart cherry palate with moderate tannins that evolve in the glass. Fruit and acidity balanced with some toasted oak notes. Moderate length finish.
