October 4, 2018 - My final bottle out of six. Showing less development on the nose than the previous two bottles, which was a bummer. Felt a bit closed in fact, even when left in the glass to breathe for a while. Should have decanted this one. Perhaps slightly more development on the palate, which provided better balance on the mid to late and less persistence in the finish. So all in all it was up to pas with previous bottles although I did not get the nose that I had been craving for.

November 17, 2017 - Lovely perfumed nose of roses, tar, liquorice and violets. Light and transparent feel in the mouth, with some dark fruits, plums, earthy spices and liquorice. Very nice, medium + finish with some fine tannin bite. I really like the spot it is in at the moment. 92-93p.

August 20, 2017 - Much similar to my April bottle. Unfortunately (for the Anselma) it followed a rather stellar 2008 BdM from Stella di Campalto, and also perhaps did not get the air and temp (drank it al fresco) as it would deserve. The nose was however brilliant this time as well. 91-92p

April 29, 2017 - From memory. Lovely perfume of roses, tar, liquorice and violets. Nice and plush in the mouth, with some sweet dark fruits and liquorice coming through in the medium + finish. Really liked it. 92+p.

February 5, 2016 - Pour one half glass for immediate appeal, then decant rest for 3 hours when the wine really opens up and shows its full potential. Scented. Medium bodied. Roses, mature cherries, tar and earthy notes. Rounded tannins and good lenght with some sweetness. Really nice wine. Good QPR. Another 2-4 years of cellaring will only make it better. 91 - 93p
