June 9, 2019 - It smells like blackberry, stoniness, mineral, lead pencil, chocolate, molasses, plum, smokey bacon, medium toast, blueberry and oregano. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle.

May 15, 2019 - Dark, rich, super fresh, tannic. Really tasty.

May 11, 2019 - I’d last enjoyed the 2002 vintage of this wine back in 2009/2010, so I had high expectations! As expected this was outstanding at eleven years, showing no signs of letting up. Youthful in appearance with black and red fruits and a quite noticeable structure in terms of tannin and acidity. Stood up to a medium rare ribeye and finished very long. I really like this wine!

May 11, 2019 - 1st of 3. Very dense, dark coloring still, with purplish ruby edges. Aromas of dark fruits, graphite, licorice, walnut, dark chocolate, a bit of floral, and some earthy funk. Medium body, medium (+) acid, long finish, and flavors of dark fruits, dark chocolate, lemon, minerals, and spice. I'm not sure about the QPR, but it's a nice wine nonetheless, and was a good pairing for our steak dinner tonight.

April 20, 2019 - Had w/ dinner with a colleague. Brief notes as I didn't geek out with the whole swirl, sniff, sip & sip procedure.
Opened an hour early to breathe. Nice clear cherry/strawberry red color. Aromas of dark fruit. Very good balance, soft tannins felt velvety. Big mouth filling Blackberry/blueberry flavors just short of being chewy. Yummy.. It was a hit with Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Chimichurri, garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed green beans.
