August 21, 2020 - Oxidized but cork was good. Too bad.

September 9, 2018 - Bought off of last bottle. Not sure if the bottle was flawed as it has a very medicinal smell, and super funky. Calmed down after a while and the nose was a funky truffle. Palate was mushroom and olive and earth. No fruit at all.

August 26, 2018 - Last bottle and I kept it too long. Drinkable and good but was much better in the past.

July 30, 2018 - Double blind tasting. Brief note. Nose and palate showed very savory here with soy sauce, porcini powder, miso paste, seaweed and earthy red cherry with a hint of vanilla on the backend. Very chewy midpalate showed more of the red fruit sweetness with the finish coming back to the savory side. I quite enjoyed this with mushroom pasta as it was very different and intriguing.

June 20, 2018 - Experiment - Coravined mid May, drank half, opened mid June. Flavor/aromatics very similar between the two times - good for Coravin. A leaner sleep styled CdP but lovely earthy herbal dried dark cherry aromatics. Silky balanced palate. Good food wine.

(Domaine de la Mordorée Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée de la Reine des Bois) Rich cordial of boysenberry, black cherry and vanilla oak on nose; very tasty berry, black fruit, palate with herbal edges, but big and a little hot; medium-plus finish 93+ pts.
