July 18, 2018 - Dry River (Bel & Brio, Barangaroo): Medium minus intensity aromas of blackberry and a little chocolate, sweet spice, caramel and a little subdued bonfire ash. More fruit sweet than the 2015 but also more subdued and reigned in, slightly less acidity, travels long, very soft, a little liquorice here, talc textured tannins. Hmm

June 6, 2018 - Very good wine but too expensive in my opinion

September 12, 2017 - Negociants Australia Portfolio Tasting 2017: Spice and cherry with earthy background notes. Sweet red fruit on the palate, it is bold but the spice gives it some interest and style. Medium length. Drinking pretty well now.

September 10, 2017 - Martinborough top vs Burgundy 1er (Newmarket, Auckland): dense dark cherry, blackberries, and some dark plum. good weight and strength on palate. fine grained tannins, larger scale than Ata Rangi, with nice balance. long savoury finish.

    Ap 5/5, Ar 13/15, Palate 18/20, Overall 4+4/10
    Total 94/100

January 3, 2017 - First 2017 Offline with the GMs: Redcurrant, spice and cherry on the nose. Very spice driven on the palate, with a peppery element throughout and support from restrained red fruits. Nice length, while the is still young it has plenty of interest and potential to develop well over the next 4-5 years.
