April 2, 2016 - Bright dark red with some fading at rim
Pencil shavings, spice and violets, some plummy fruit
Lovely acidity, refreshing and very drinkable
Some dark chocolate, savoury finish, a little tannin at the end
    Quite simple but very enjoyable

May 20, 2015 - Not as unbelievably spectacular as the 2010s have bed held out to be, but very drinkable. Probably the closest thing we can get to a true French country wine in Texas.

August 3, 2013 - The wine is clear with a deep ruby colour and presence of slightly inky and dense slow falling legs. The nose is clean, with medium intensity of ripe dark cherries, plums, fennel, anise, cedar and hints of green bell pepper, game and vanilla. It's dry in the mouth with a medium acidity, medium+ fine grained tannins, medium integrated alcohol, medium+ body and medium+ intensity flavours of ripe dark cherries, plums, fennel and cedar. Medium+ finish. It's a very good quality wine with a good amount of complexity in the nose and a nice structure and concentration in the mouth as well as a remarkable lenght, but it lacks some finesse, and even more complexity to be considered an outstanding wine. Can drink now but has enough tannic and acidic structure and fruit to develop more complexity in the next 5-6 years.
