November 25, 2023 - Pop & pour. Needed an hour to open. Served with roasted duck breast and a chocolate cherry demiglass reduction. Perfect pairing! Day 2:was better. Paired with a 2017 Venge family reserve. The Venge paired with the venison. Hedonistic for sure

July 12, 2023 - Mystery wine evening (Restaurant Lion's, Stuttgart): Glass: Unsuited white wine glass
Popped and poured, tasted completely blind. Clear, deep ruby color. BDX style nose. On the palate green pepper, spices, good pressure, round, a bit got. Good length. 91+ -

April 7, 2023 - Wonderful wine. Very bordeaux-like as many others have noted. More green than is my general preference but highly enjoyable at this stage. It's got many more years to go.

March 10, 2023 - 2023 Napa in the City: Gala Dinner (The Pool in NYC): Ah how the times have changed. Everyone loves the 11’s now. They are more approachable than a lot of years but I’d still say very much young and too young. Well made wine that needs more time. Fun to get to check in though.

Full, deep and complex nose. Dark fruit, pencil shavings, green bell pepper and quite herbaceous. Mature notes of tobacco.
Fullish palate. Very balanced. Quite elegant. Black currant fruit, black plum, green bell pepper and herbs. Quite powerful. Very long. Nice sandy tannins.
My guess was top Bolgheri or an Saint Emilion with high Cabernet Franc portion. I understand that in a Napa context this is an atypical wine, but for those prefering a more cool, Old World style, this is actually very, very appealing.2 people found this helpful Comment
