February 10, 2024 - Impressive showing from a Les Beguines with some age. I had LC12 in the fall, which was previously my oldest experience with how these no dosed PM masterpieces age. One of my two bottles was faulty but the other was absolutely on fire. This was more like the second, sound, with balanced development, apple, showing some cinnamon stick. Good mousse remains, with ample concentration on the palate. I think the moral is that these are holding up just fine so far. A rare bird.

July 16, 2022 - LC10. Decent enough. Moderately rich nose with oxidative notes and lemon on the palate. Didn't pick up much weight with air and came across a bit too thin for my liking. I've always preferred younger Beguines (always has more stuffing and energy) and this confirms it. Drank like a Champagne worth its original release price.

October 21, 2021 - ohhh in that sweet spot right now. Dry bright acidity, rich textured apple fruit and mouthcoating minerality. All balanced together in a powerful concentrated push

March 17, 2020 - I liked the nose on this a lot - brown apples, gravel, broken cookies, hints of yellow fruit. But the palate didn't have the focus and concentration that I usually get from Les Beguines, although it was still a very good wine in its own right - maybe a little too dry. Maybe the vintage at work?

May 26, 2019 - i know 2010 was not a great vintage for champagne; but j prevost hit it out of the park as far i'm concerned. terrific balance between fruit and acidity. almost painfully dry... in the way i like it... certainly one of the top producers for 100% pinot meunier champagne.

May 25, 2019 - at the home of two dogs, with friends old and new: golden color with very fine bubbles. Nose yeasty golden apple, deep. Palate bruised apple, golden fruit, *tart* acidity. with time, a richness to the body, layered, with a hint of maple sweetness. Wonderful, a treat to try. 94 pts

February 26, 2018 - Dinner at Formento's (Chicago, IL): Big, sharp nose of savory notes and white fruit. the palate is round and creamy but with good acidity. Super creamy and luscious. Delicious in a savory, bigger style. Seems to be in a good spot now 7-8 years post vintage.

December 26, 2017 - Wow this wine is getting so delicious. Color deep yellow, nose mature apples, a whiff of curry, taste soft and good aftertaste.Remember these Champagnes should not be touched in at least 5-6 after disgorgement date.
