October 4, 2019 - Floral, perfumed, ultra refined aromatics. Oak on palate. (4329)

September 21, 2019 - Slow oxed for 3.5 hours before serving. Sweet red currant, potpourri, vanilla oak, perfume and strawverry on the nose. Palate was all about pure fruit and weightless power. Very attractive yet the hidden weight ans complexity require a lot more time to unleash.

August 14, 2018 - Can Roca. Serious stuff. Ruby red. Intensely stemmy, then floral and sweet aromatics. Really delicate texture, weightless. Palate just incredibly precise red fruit flavors.

November 11, 2017 - 2017 Villa d’Este Wine Symposium - Kelly and Kevin's excellent adventure; 11/9/2017-11/14/2017 (Villa D’este, Lake Como and Milan): Big scale nose displaying rich sweet red fruit, strawberry, raspberry jam, a hint of mocha, sap, spicy spices, grilled cep, sesame and earth. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of intense red fruit, rich and round, bright acidity, strong earthy mineral and a long sweet red fruit and sesame driven finish. This is fuller and richer than the 12 CSJ. I find it enjoyable in a primary way but needs another two decades to reach peak.

October 14, 2016 - Oh wow!! Words do not do this ethereal, majestic wine justice! I am deeply in awe and in love with the apparent improve in style/quality that Rousseau seemingly has undergone! Humbled and honoured to taste this wine again! 98 is almost stingy. This is utterly sublime! -and bested a sensational 2010 Liger-Belair Aux Reignots served next to it
