Community Tasting Notes 10

April 15, 2016 - Decanted for 45 mins. Smells of leather, blackberries, plum, black currants and strawberry. The spiciness comes through at the back end. Still drinking well. Pairing with beef and rocket salad.

1 hour later: Spice has mellowed and you can taste a bit of chocolate.

February 2, 2016 - Juicy deliciousness. Purple in the glass, medium staining, aromatic nose of cherry, plum and cacao, palate is fruit driven with ripe, juicy black fruits, blackberry plum, currant, anise and 'cola' notes.

November 26, 2014 - A consistently good red wine. Nice and earthy, but not as much as earlier bottles.

August 28, 2013 - Huge, fruit forward, black fruits, petite sirah-like; coffee and plum fruits in the mouth, soft, voluptuous, lower acidity, but very pleasing and seemingly balanced for this broad-shouldered red, which carries good complexity and not all fruit despite the description above. Pair with pulled pork sandwich. Mostly Bonarda with some Malbec.

August 23, 2013 - Very smooth. Like a full bodied Pinot. Smooth full nose, berries and chocolate and a smooth finish.
