March 10, 2024 - Wow this is very impressive - testimony of DRCs continued improvements. Beautiful nose and so much going on here with great refinement. Not super long but sufficiently expressive for a very high rating.

November 18, 2023 - I actually like this more now than a few years ago. Excellent spice and a powerful mid palate. Nice detail. Definitely a green stemmy quality but I find it interesting vs off putting. Not sure how this improves so I will have this a few more times on the next 5 years.

October 12, 2021 - Drank off the List at Le Gavroche in London. Decanted, but drank immediately from decanter. Provenance should be ex-Corney & Barrow.

Classic DRC nose, and the palate packs a punch as you'd expect from a good Corton. Unfortunately this had some green notes to it - perhaps due to the vintage - and also uncharacteristically for DRC collapsed into a bit of an acidic mess after about 3 hours in.

Many others have said it, and I agree: it's not worth the price of entry. A good wine, but DRC only deals in great so it was slightly disappointing, especially after it started falling off the cliff.

I have to say this is the best Corton I have had. Simply mind blowing for a Corton.

June 30, 2019 - Musique & Vin - Dîner de Gala - Douzième édition du Festival (Château du Clos de Vougeot): So much red cherry in many variations, coming across as sweet, bright and tart all at the same time. Very good density but firm in the middle, so just begging for a few more years in the cellar.

June 30, 2019 - Music and Vine Clos Vougeot Gala Dinner. Certainly one of the finer 2011s that I've encountered with ample and approachable fruit. Loads of concentration with good oak and acid integration. Not particularly complex at this stage but tasty and offering plenty of spice-driven pleasure. Has the proportion to age, but I'm not a fan of the vintage broadly, so take it with a grain of salt.

November 5, 2016 - 2016 Villa d’Este Wine Symposium - Kelly, Alan and Kevin's excellent adventure; 11/3/2016-11/12/2016 (Villa D’este, Lake Como, Piedmont, Milan and Frankfurt): The overall expression is similar to the 09 but slightly thinner and green. Medium expressive nose displaying blackberry, stem, pyrazine, tea and Asian spices. Medium concentration, slightly hollow middle palate, stem, medium acidity and a medium finish. Enjoyable but not worth the price it commands.

October 26, 2015 - Drinking during lunch at Grapiot restaurant in Jura/Pupillin.

After visiting and tasting some very nice 1999/2003 and 2011 at Overnoy, we are very happy to enjoy the day with DRC's Corton.

It's amazing good at the beginning, very floral, mild-blowing scent with a splendid texture at first sip. Woww...

Then the wild berry, red roses get along which is very much like Romanee St Vivant. This 2nd impact is great, good balance and so delicious with a lovely stunning aftertaste. Woww...

This is special wine but where is the truly character of Corton ??

After 90 mins, then there it is. It becomes Corton bit by bit and finally, it took all of our happiness away. Leave us the wood, rough and hard edge of young Corton with the empty bottle.

It was very good during 45-60 mins if drinking at this moment but if the color in the bottle is not so bright, don't open it.

    Corton is Corton !!

DRC is trying to introduce the modern style wine into the market that is easy drinking and not expensive, IMHO. But the price is already high-fly.

It's nice to know but I would say Echezeaux if it is at the same price.

    Drink now - 2060.....93-94/100.....

August 22, 2015 - 2011 DRC and a range of others: Raspberry, musk, herb and a touch of earth and oak influence. The palate shows excellent balance and approachability, but it is all on the surface at the moment, there aren't layers of complexity, but I think all the elements are there that it will rise up with time.
