March 11, 2016 - A surprisingly (to me) good Chardonnay. Nice citrus notes with a whack of oak that has integrated well at this point. Most of the fruit has moved on to a secondary stage that has lemon curd and creme brulee overtones and is well-balanced by a lively acidity. Medium length. Very enjoyable and richer than I expected.

December 14, 2013 - More on the crisp style while retaining softness and ripe fruit. MId length, nice balance

(Ancestry Cellars Reunion Chardonnay Columbia Valley) An aromatically compelling wine with pumpkin spices, straw, candy corn, toast, and sweet spices. The palate brings an exquisite mixture of deftness, texture, and lively acidity leading to a lemony finish. An exciting first vintage of this wine. 100% Chardonnay. Arete Vineyard. 100% Chardonnay. Aged in French oak (15% new). 13.1% alcohol.
