September 30, 2020 - Sorry to see it go. Paired with tortilla shop and chorizo. Wonderful.

August 22, 2020 - Fruity and smoky nose which also felt a little hot. Good structure framed by prominent acidity and tannin. Drinking very well but wonder whether a little more time will polish off the edges and make it more refined. I was surprised that the finish wasn't longer for such a big wine.

July 23, 2020 - similar to my last note: dark red, ruby rim - effusive nose of black/red fruit with complex aromas of leather, graphite, smokiness, oak and an intriguing touch of mint- very big mouth of rich sweet temperanillo fruit with excellent acid-tannin balance - finish a little bit short on this bottle - nonetheless, this is an excellent Toro that is drinking very nicely now, but is likely improve even further with another 3-5 years of aging

July 22, 2020 - Better on day 2 or 3. Full, smooth and lush with dark fruit profile. Needs lots of air to reflect full flavor. Rate 90 on day 1 but 91+ day 2 and 3. Use vaccuvin.

April 9, 2020 - PnP'd - far bigger than i expected. Blackberries, cassis, dark cherry, dark chocolate flavors. Medium finish. 1 bottle left in cellar, I'm going to hold & see what the future brings.

April 7, 2020 - dark red, ruby rim - effusive nose of black/red fruit with complex aromas of leather, graphite, smokiness, oak and an intriguing touch of mint- very big mouth of rich sweet temperanillo fruit with excellent acid-tannin balance - long 20-30 sec finish - this is a superb Toro which is drinking very nicely now, but is likely improve even further with another 3-5 years of aging - tasted alongside the 2010 San Roman that was more open and accessible right now, but not nearly as complex or well structured as the 2009 - this is the Spanish wine you want in your cellar

February 1, 2020 - Evolved nicely with black cherry and bittersweet chocolate notes. Moderate tannins and could even go longer. But great now.
