January 21, 2024 - Totally spoiled bottle from Acker auction. Pop and pour down the drain. Very disappointing!

June 8, 2023 - Good aromatics with stems, black tea, and red fruit. The concentation of the wine was shy to 99,08,14 on the side. The core fruit was not as pure and fresh as the other wine tonight, and it carried an earthy undertone. 92-93

January 10, 2023 - Quite expressive at present, consistent with much of the '00 lineup from the Domaine.

September 10, 2022 - 200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Beautiful nose here, red fruit, cured meat, light bodied, elegant, whole cluster. Body a bit too light but great wine overall.

March 13, 2022 - La Paulee Gala dinner….along with it’s siblings showed tremendous aromatics, though I felt the fruit wasn’t quite cranking to the same level as the best in flight (90, 05, 10). A bottle I had of this a couple years back seemed to have a bit more power, perhaps because that wasn’t in a lineup such as this. Nevertheless it has to be considered one of the successes of this vintage

Burgundy-Report

(Romanée-Conti Grands-Echézeaux) Similar colour to the Echézeaux, though paler in shade. The nose is much broader and deeper than the Echézeaux, showing a significantly blacker fruit profile. The palate again shows good ‘fat’, perhaps a little more acidity and certainly more of the smooth tannin. The finish seems just as long, though on a much lower register and also shows a hint of vanilla. A more interesting and complex wine than the Echézeaux – leaves a smooth coating on your teeth.

(DRC Grands Échézeaux) Deeper, jammier than the 2000 Echezeaux. Incredibly dense nose. Very perfumed. The Burgundian opera in full swing. So supple on the palate. Rich and ripe with black and dark red fruits. Not as explosive as the 2000 Echezeaux. More refined and finessed. So delicate. Long and detailed finish. Wow!
