November 5, 2022 - During a 2012 Burgundy blind tasting dinner. Overall the vintage showed quite tannic still and with a wide dispersion between the top names and lesser known Domains. Definitely drink the 2013 and 2014 before the 2012 and stick to quality producers. TN: Very cloudy color, sour cherry, green and tannic like a your Prieur Roch wine. How will this end up. Not much pleasure today in any case.

March 6, 2022 - High acidity and a touch of VA on opening that eventually blew off. Cherries and a bit of funky sous bois, this was pleasant, if not profound. Certainly not a good QPR, by any means, but paired nicely with duck breast with a cherry-port reduction.

January 6, 2021 - Notes after 2 hours in decanter. The cork was 90% saturated, the color was a pale brownish-ruby with small bits of sediment. Medium-high intensity nose with a nice floral backdrop, though it gets overridden by some funk and oak early on. The palate features more cherry and pomegranate, but is a little bit of a letdown in persistence and tension and I have to agree with the other “dilute” remarks. Not bad on its own or with lighter fare.
Considering the compromised closure, this bottle’s best days may have been long ago. Happy to have the cellar space back and I’m glad I sold off my other bottle.
