October 3, 2023 - Medium depth purple red, clearing rim. Bouquet of bilberries, damsons and strawberries. Soft, generous palate black cherry jam, damsons and bilberries, ripe tannins and lovely acidity making a perfectly balanced, rich, fruity red with a long dry finish.

September 5, 2023 - From magnum. Dark red, without any transition. Earthy on the palate with sweet notes of tobacco, cherry, spices/pepper. Has a sweet taste on the palate. Cough syrup, heater, and some steel.

August 13, 2023 - This bottle was going strong, with no sign of decline. Other than a bit of pruny fruit and rich body, this holds it alcohol and ripeness very well.

January 27, 2023 - Deep crimson robe with clear rim. Bouquet is deep and rich with black cherry, damson and aniseed. Palate is packed with black fruit, liquorice and saddle leather, soft tannins and well balanced acidity. Holding up well after 30 years.
