October 21, 2020 - Not the smoothest but a fair representation of a WV pinot. The typical sweet herbal nose is present. A hint of cut green grass is showing too. The color is on the lighter side but in the mouth there is nothing delicate. It has a firmness with cranberry/cherry fruit and solid new oak influence. This can celler for a few more years and still be quite enjoyable.

August 23, 2015 - Translucent garnet in the glass, nose and palate both are very restrained and non descript. Faint flavor of cranberry and cherry but overall missing the character that makes Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, well, Oregon Pinot Noir. QPR is way out of whack on this one and we will not revisit.

January 6, 2015 - Minimal nose and flavor. Short finish, thin body. Not sour like a bad pinot noir but lacks substance. An average wine by the glass in an average restaurant. Drinkable but not memorable.

October 6, 2014 - Used a cup for coq au vin; drank the rest. The coq au vin was GREAT.

June 26, 2014 - Nice...but quality falls short of the $24 price. Possibly the over-extraction West Coast style. Won't buy again.

April 14, 2014 - Sweet red cherry and raspberry, spice, some stemmy and smoke influence too. The sweet red fruit is prominent on the palate too, there is an earthy undercurrent that gives it some extra interest. Medium length.

April 6, 2014 - Very dark color. Nose rather faint. Nondescript on the palate, with acceptable varietal character, but nothing to attract attention. While not possessing any distinct flaw, this wine comes across as lacking any particular character or interest. Did not improve or change much after three days in the wine cooler, so I doubt decanting would have that much effect. It is what I would expect from a $15 PN, not a $25 one. At this price point, much better Washington PNs are readily available.
