November 29, 2020 - Really enjoying this wine. Slight oak with dark fruit on the mouth, not jammy. Smooth finish.
November 8, 2020 - An Epoch wine for an epic evening of election celebration. Brooding savory dark fruit, but not jammy. Also notes of bloody beef, pepper and herbs. Alcohol sticks out just a hair, but overall well balanced. Rock solid with solid future...let’s say at least four years...hopefully 8!
September 3, 2020 - fantastic wine. plush mouthfeel and full bodied. But glides seamlessly across the palate. delicious
January 13, 2020 - Holding up nicely. Great fruit and a smooth finish.
December 16, 2019 - Sorta funny - 'worst' wine of a huge Paso night, still really good. Little more delicate than a 2011 Linne Calodo Nemesis or 2010 Booker Vertigo 22.
November 9, 2018 - This wine is out of the park wonderful! The oak we tasted on it a few months ago has dissipated - now it is a beautiful, full, voluptuous red that shows some of the best characteristics of Syrah and Mourvèdre. The components of both grapes are nicely integrated. This time we had it with roast chicken, local cheese and olives, and a lovely artisan wheat bread. We think it is nearing its peak. Drink now into next couple of years. Enjoy!
September 28, 2018 - This is a delicious Syrah-Mourvèdre based wine. As we drank it, it opened up beautifully. We recommend decanting. Lovely spices, dark berries, leather, mint, and licorice all come together in a voluptuous drinking experience. It is beautifully structured and balanced. There is probably more oak than we would prefer, but overall this is a KEEPER!
December 4, 2017 - Agree with some previous TNs. I don't see this bottle getting any better with age. Seems like it has hit, if not past, it prime drinking window. Seemed a bit disjointed.
October 7, 2017 - Drinking beautifully right now. Smooth tannins. At its peak. Big score from WA.
15.7% ABV; 66% Syrah, 33% Mourvedre and 1% Viognier co-fermented with the Syrah
July 16, 2017 - Similar comments to last bottle. Too hot this time.
