April 14, 2019 - At the very top end of the QPR scale-- this bottle defines smart collecting. Wine is good on its release, but-- yes, this <$20 cellars well. Drinking like a dream today. Decanted for two hours. Purple in the glass with a medium clear rim. Nose of blackberries, coffee, cocoa, and spices. Dark fruits on palate with just the right amount of acidity. Tannins present but integrated well. 20-30 second finish with just a hint of camphor.
July 17, 2016 - Excellente bouteille, sur des flaveurs profondes de fruits noirs et de réglisse noire. La bouche démontre une bonne amplitude et un équilibre parfait. Jolie longueur et bonne souplesse également. Coup de cœur à ce prix!
April 22, 2016 - Had this with pizza after a long day, without really reflecting too much on the wine, but I must say it was an excellent match with the pizza. Quite big fruit, a bit of coffee and gravel on the nose, good acidity.

Easy pasta/pizza wine classic Maremma balance and flow from entry to finish, cherry, cassis, earth, dusty, some tartness, love what the merlot does to the mid palate. Drinks well with food, good acid some tannic bite. Easy buy at under $20
November 20, 2015 - Toujours aussi bon avec ses nuances de petits fruits, sa note balsamique, et son boisé parfaitement intégré. La bouche est fondu et équilibré et s'étire joliment sur une finale de moyenne longueur.

Restrained nose, fruity, herby, spicy, animal notes.
Very much a claret taste, but somehow not a Bordeaux taste, spicy, fruity, salty, long, a "vino di meditatione".
October 27, 2015 - Cabernet blended with Alicante Bouschet and Merlot. From Maremma in Southwest Tuscany. Pretty nose of dried flowers, dried cherry, sawdust, fresh earth, fig, evergreen, sweet plums. Palate shows lovely layers, Italian sensibility with the dried fruits but nicely fresh as well, currants, raspberry, fresh roses, slight sweet notes from oak, medium plus acidity, medium tannins, medium finish could use a touch more complexity but this is entry level after all. Nice value.
September 28, 2015 - braucht noch viel Luft, finessenreich mit etwas Säure und auch Tanninen. Körper leicht bis mittel. tolle Nase :)
