October 8, 2023 - Bouquet incroyable, bien fondu, où tout semble bien en place, principalement sur les pruneaux, la figue & les épices comme le thym, le romarin & le poivre. Il y une belle dimension d'anis & de fleur qui apporte une fraîcheur à l'ensemble. L'alcool perceptible.
La bouche est large en attaque, principalement sur le fruité perçu au nez. Légèrement compoté mais bien supporté en milieu de bouche par une acidité bien présente. La structure y est encore, belle énergie, outre le fruité qui semble plus évolué, le reste paraît encore assez jeune. Finales épicés & sur des beaux amers. Excellent! -

October 7, 2023 - Last of my splits that all displayed a slight nose of oxidation at open. This quickly blew off though - the result was a wine with plenty of life in it. Definitely a more rustic / hard edged vintage of Rancia.
