May 17, 2019 - HDH Celebration of Burgundy Dinner (Everest): From magnum. What an incredible treat. The aromas kept getting better and better with time in the glass. So much Vosne spice layered into still fresh black cherry fruit, with dried florals and toasted herbs. Amazing richness and power. Big spice-filled intense finish. Great stuff.

January 27, 2019 - Hazy, light fruit, dusty earth. Might have been on the decline though maybe I just have a palate that does not appreciate something as nuanced as this.

January 26, 2018 - Very impressive! A bit light in both color and body, but fruity and mild tannin.

January 24, 2018 - Decanted for 1 hour. Very youthful and concentrated. This really needs about 3 hours in decanter. Likely about 5 years out from prime. Good balance and finish. Will hold indefinitely.

January 21, 2018 - Slow oxed for one hour before serving. Nose is initially muted. With aeration, there are some berries, prune fruit and flower. Palate is very expressive with a slightly tart finish, like many 98 vr. Nevertheless, its very elegant with volume and power keep building up with air. Its a bit shy of the stunning 00 la tache but its still great. This is drinking well now.
