January 29, 2022 - Ian’s send off to the Army!
January 5, 2022 - Fantastic nose, smooth still has time to age.
March 24, 2021 - A wonderful example of the vintage, elegant and refined with oodles of black cherry and no hint of austerity. Decanted for two hours, has years to go.
January 1, 2021 - Elegant Cab with bold Cherry and Cassis, hints of earth and spice. Good balance with a long cherry filled finish. Still going strong - an excellent Napa/Sonoma Cab
June 14, 2020 - Decanted first over an hour. Maroon with brown hints and edge to it. First nose of dark jammy fruits, meat char, oak, red licorice, and cigar box. Second nose of blueberry and raspberry. Smooth on entry and light tannic finish and dryness. Slight spice as well.
May 24, 2020 - Continues to shine despite the difficult vintage, lots of primary dark berries, cassis, wet stone and a little spice coming through on the nose, clean and pure palate with medium acidity well integrated tannins and medium plus length
January 8, 2020 - This was opened last night with a steak dinner. Very good but the firm tannins were a bit overdone. Tonight the wine had softened and showed the benefit of airtime.
Remaining two bottles will benefit from more time in the cellar. 3 years before I circle back.
December 20, 2019 - Garnet in color. First nose is melded flavors. Raspberry, dark chocolate, peppercorn, and mellow dark fruits. Second nose is velvety dark cherry and jam. Very smooth on the entry and lingers. Mild tannin up front and then flavors of chocolate cover cherry follow.
July 5, 2019 - Leaner character, fruit on the nose, but not lush. Tannins there.
September 2, 2018 - Well made wine from a challenging vintage.
