March 31, 2024 - Great wine. Pale rim, ruby core, nose of tar annd cooked black fruit. Bright acidity, medium tannins, notes of tar on plate to go with the fruit. Medium finish. Opens up after about an hour. Very good but not great.
December 31, 2023 - This wine has aged very well. Smooth, elegant with dark fruit and nice acidity. 24 hrs later the Cabernet Sauvignon has become more predominant.
December 29, 2023 - Oxidized unfortunately.
November 16, 2023 - 2010 wasn't as good a vintage in Bolgheri as. say 2011, but as a result this half was approaching its drinking window. Absolutely gorgeous nose and evident potential. Sassicaia is wonderfully consistent. 92 for now, more to follow.
October 31, 2023 - Oddly smells kinda like wood. But it can't.

May 29, 2023 - Good but a bit disappointing. A bit on the green side. I know it's only 15% can franc but the cab franc notes really seem to dominate. The nose is pretty amazing though.
April 29, 2023 - This was surprisingly open out the gate and continued to develop well over the course of dinner. The bouquet was so lively. Just awesome. Will be even better in 5+ years as tannins still need some time to resolve. This is well on its way to being a special Sassicaia
March 3, 2023 - Unable to rate due to wine not opening at our pop and pour blind tasting event. Highly recommend decanting a couple of hours. We tried decanting in the small decanter the restaurant had on hand but too little too late.
October 8, 2022 - Ornellaia/Sassicaia/Masseto horizontal. My second favorite behind the Ornellaia. A nice chewy profile with lots of Cabernet character. Seemed quite young and needs time to gain more nuance.
