October 3, 2021 - Tasted with our friends Fien Gert Jan; the first of six bottles and I have waited with the first to taste this wine with them. A point, very balanced, ripe red fruit, ripe acidity, tasty and with elegant tannins and bitters in the finish; not a blockbuster syrah, but gentle, very gentle.

September 19, 2021 - Slightly underwhelming, but a nice and delicious wine at 10 years of age.

    Needs an hour of air.

Menthol, pine bark and raw potato on the nose. A leaner and lighter expression of syrah. Red and fresh fruit, quite a lot of acid. Mellow and rather smoky mouthfeel. Medium finish.

Expected more, but maybe the vintage is to blame. A nice quaffer, nonetheless.

May 8, 2021 - May 2021 “Running” Club Outdoor Vintage Pairs Evening (Outside by the firepit in Icy West London): mmmmmm lovely. Really on form. On the nose - a bit of forest floor, the faintest hint of funk, and on the palate red fruits, iron and soil, a bracing zing of acidity but a backbone and structure that make it enticing rather than tiring. Probably the best of the three or four bottles I’ve had of this in the past year or so. Very well regarded by the table - favourite of the Cornas flight, third favourite over all.

March 23, 2021 - Drunk over two nights. On opening - surprisingly muted, and did not compare favourably to the 07 which we also drank that night. Over time it put on a bit of weight but still...the retiring younger brother. On day two - a much more put together wine - more refined..but also more thrilling somehow. Not quite goosebumps but definitely goosebumps adjacent. Really enjoyed this and sad to see the last of it.

February 20, 2021 - First BBQ of the year...!! Woohoo...!
This Cornas rustic/gamey than anticipated. Cassis and blackberry. Soft tannines. Black olives and pepper. Ink, iodine and toast, as well.
    Surprisingly open, clean and accessible.
    Went great with those ribs.
