July 25, 2019 - 1 hour Pop. Holding this for a while now. Just tinges of a color change. Still very rich looking. Some sweet blue berries, the creme coming through from the oak. Still primary on the nose. Some nice weight on the palate, very rich, ful lbodied. Finishes w some sharp acid & oak. Finish is a bit upfront...lingers. Nice wine. seems it has another 5 + years. Well made wine, but the qrp may not be there for me.

Day III. Losts its verve. Nose is not nice. A sweet, chocolate mess.

June 8, 2019 - Lisa's Big Birthday with Very Good Wine (Riverwoods, IL): Small glass, brief note from memory. Merlot coming through nicely in forward fruit and round textures, Syrah in spice and meatiness. Good balance, good weight. Overall enjoyable now.

December 25, 2017 - Dark fruit, meat, spices, and plum jam on the nose. More dark fruit with medium+ tannins and notes of plums on the palate. Good finish.

September 19, 2017 - Ripe and enticing, with neat interplay between the Syrah and Merlot. The oak is a bit obtrusive at this stage, but that should change with time. Juicy black and red fruit, spice and leather. Well done.

March 24, 2017 - Nice bottle, breath for 30 minutes. Slowly gets better. The merlot stood out alot more than the syrah. Black berries perfume with a clean finish. Tasted a bit sweetness in the end though.
