November 30, 2015 - Cranberry and earthy aromas lead to ripe cherry and truffle flavors. Not overly complex, but acidity/fruit was well-balanced with a medium finish. Paired great with leftover turkey, stuffing, and brussel sprouts with dried cranberries.
September 18, 2015 - A little light, a little barn straw on the end.
February 27, 2015 - Not overly happy with this Reserve 2011 from Bouchard Pere & Flis. Light on every level - color, nose and palate. Medium (-) intensity. Aromas of raspberry, currant and a bit of wood. Not enough fruit to keep the acidity in balance. It turns a bit sour and bitter in the end.
January 26, 2015 - Decent. Simple.
January 7, 2015 - Setting the bar for the New Year!
October 22, 2014 - Light red and very clear. Light red fruits on the nose; thin, light mouthfeel, tasting of basic red fruits. Still slightly acidic. Not sure I really like this.
July 22, 2014 - Agree with paydon.. Nose is pretty dam interesting with this earthy mushroomy cherry thing going on.. It's light on its feet at 12.5 alc but is very drinkable.. Not overly complex.. But not sour with an acid bite which I usually find in burgs in this price range.. It's round with some acid and a bit of tannins but At $15.99 it's great for burg and week day wine!
April 11, 2014 - 2011 was a tough year for PN industry wide I understand. This bottle was right in line with that assessment. Not a knockout, not a complete disappointment. Mushroom, forest floor with pings of sweet red berry fruit. Light and delicate, true to form. Price point could be better, but it is an import.
April 8, 2014 - Light red color. Ripe raspberry and a bit of pepper on the nose. Acidic front palate with a medium long finish which turns a bit bitter. Not overly happy I bought two of them..
March 23, 2014 - Light to medium body, light crimson red color, aromatic, red forest fruits, red currant, cherry, mushrooms, flowers and spices, fresh aroma, red currant, cherry and slightly peppery spices on the palate, fruity finish, long finish, very fresh, light and juicy, elegant, lovely acidity, light tannins, food friendly. Well associated with fowl, vegetables and soft cheeses. Serve 16º - 20º. Drink now and next two years.
