Community Tasting Notes 5

September 15, 2013 - Ripe dark berries on the nose with red apple brightness pushing through. Sweet chili, blackpepper, tobacco leaves, beans and smoked meat.
Fullbodied and meaty palate with supple grip and ripe but still pretty youthful dark fruit. Some graphite, salt liquorice, leafy notes and integrated oak. Mid-length.
Drinking nicely with still youthful freshness to the fruit. Rounded but meaty. Oak toast has stepped aside. No hurry.

May 6, 2013 - The wine looks Brick colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Fig, Cinnamon, Dust, and Smokey Bacon. It tastes like Meaty. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Fleshy texture. The wine finishes Medium.
Alltogether it took an hour to open up which indicates a couple of years left

November 13, 2010 - Opened 1,5 hour in front. Dark wine with little brown edge. Iron, blood, complex taste. Very nice glass of wine. Drink it within three years.

November 22, 2009 - Third day opend, one glass left. Clear and dark. Nose is a bit funky, some leather and a hint of vanilla. On the palate smooth as silk and very well balanced. Long aftertaste and still a bit tannic. On the first day the wine was decanted for 5h, after which it opend up, but not as much as it has today.

June 8, 2008 - Opulent nose of ripe blackcurrant fruit, oak, mint, coffee and chocolate.
Fullbodied on the palate with mid-level tannins and balanced acidity. Ripe dark fruit, liquorice, lifting herbs, honey, vanilla and cocoa powder. A bit Cumberlandish. Long finish.
Concentrated and powerful, but not obviously modern. Feels rather young still - though it's drinking well already.
    Tempranillo (50 %), Merlot (20 %), CS (20 %) and Garnacha (10 %).
