December 2, 2021 - Deep red, almost no bricking, nose very primary out of the gate, pure fruit on the palate, plenty tannic and long. Opened up pretty quickly in the decanter, a little meatiness. Pretty good, but a bit simple for what it is.

December 23, 2020 - #3 of 6. Really enjoyed the 85 Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde earlier this month and figured why not try one of these. Decanted at 3:00 enjoyed with a rack of lamb at 7:30. Bright deep ruby core, nice nose with dark fruits, spice and hints of tar and meats. Mid weight, balanced with good texture and density. Clearly an early maturity profile, plenty of stuffing for next 10 years. Great PQR

August 16, 2020 - Decanted hr. Really a delight to drink this last night, and in full bloom. The main attraction weaves together a triple play of gentle blackberry fruit, strong floral components, and savory black pepper, with nothing standing out - blending together just right. In short, this is one of the better negotiant reds I can recall from Guigal and this is right at full maturity. Lovely.

June 7, 2020 - Deep reddish purple in color with lightening around the edges. Aromas of licorice, blackish red fruits, violets and incense on the nose. Palate shows rich sweet and savory blackish red stewed fruits with licorice, hint of game, medium acidity, no tannins or overt wood and a long violet and potpourri perfumed finish. This is rather good and much less meaty/gamey than I expected.
