November 15, 2014 - I think this was made by Stobi but not officially a part of their stable. Still nicely done with red fruits, a little earth and bark. Some complexity and also typical of Pinot. Not bad.

November 2, 2014 - light red berry and earth on the nose. Palate is more Beaujolais than Pinot. There is a off-putting taste on the finish that really takes away from the other components of this effort. Still @ $15, it's hard to complain.

February 18, 2014 - PnP via aerator. Plum-brownish core, semi-opaque throughout. Heady, perfumed nose of roses, prunes, licorice and dust. Fruit-forward but not overextracted, in fact a little thin and vegetal to my taste. Grapey with raisiny undertones. Short finish.

December 19, 2013 - Medium light ruby red color. Nose full of tart cherry and layered forest woods and herbs. Agree with CA pinot comment, from a non-distinct region. Old world creeps in with more spice and flint than I'd normally expect. Nice, fun to try something unconventional.

October 1, 2013 - Excellent varietal character with well-structured tannins. Medium to full in body. Very comparable to California PN's selling at a higher price. Good on first day, somewhat better after a few days in the wine cooler, which brought out hints of allspice. Very worth trying and a bargain at the price.

September 29, 2013 - From the country of Macedonia, this stunning Pinot is named for Alexander the Great (the original “Macedon”), and hails from an
area noted as the “cross-roads of the ancient world, and the birthplace
of wine”. It originates in Gradsko, sharing the same latitude band as Burgundy and Russian River Valley. The 40+ year old vines grow where two major weather fronts collide: the Aral Mountain continental and the
Greek Aegean, yielding virtually no rain and consistent wind. The result is a wine of terrific elegance and complexity, rich yet linear; pretty, but with depth and power.
