July 24, 2021 - Opened for a big wine tasting dinner and the wine didn’t last even an hour even though there were about 20 other wines opened. I got nothing but excellent reviews for the wine. The wine was fresh and very round. Would drink within the next 5 years.
July 1, 2021 - The reviewers giving this a lower score (relatively) are because this Aubert CIX is less opulent, less explosive, less rich compared to other expressions of Aubert chardonnays. The reviewers giving this a higher score are because this is a beautiful chardonnay. Clean, fresh, hints of oak, citrus, crisp minerality, lemon cream, and with just the right amount of acid. No one component overwhelming the balance of this wine. It's not going to blow anyone away, but everyone will certainly enjoy this one. One bit of advice though - I thought it tasted best when it was ice cold, rather than at cellar temp.

May 20, 2020 - 2011 Aubert (Sonoma Coast) CIX Vineyard ... a wow wine. Nose of creamy, buttery lime oil with a tiny touch of vanilla. Pure, sleek deliciousness with very nice minerality and a rather long finish.

January 12, 2020 - Amazing wine. I can't think of more that i want from a Chardonnay. Beautiful expressive nose, mouth feel and finish. Reminiscent of Corton Charlemagne with nice mineral core, perhaps slightly more round and expressive in an enjoyable way.

October 12, 2019 - Light yellow color, mineral driven. Fruit is there, tropical/pineapple. Less oak and butter.
October 6, 2019 - Light yellow. The CIX seems to be the more mineral driven of the single vineyard sites at least in 2011. It has very nice elegantly stated complex layers of fruit , crisp acidity to go well with food. We had it with crab cakes. Looking forward to my next glass.
