Community Tasting Notes 5

July 10, 2015 - The bright malic acidity and fruitiness of this wine surprised me. I expected something more buttery, but as I was sipping it in the sun on a warm summer day, it was, in fact, the perfect, most refreshing wine. I noted that it pairs well with chocolate, which softened the acid.

March 23, 2015 - From 375 ml off restaurant list. Translucent light gold. Ripe Chardonnay nose. Med acidity and weight, lacking complexity. Not flawed but not exciting either.

May 10, 2014 - White Burgundy Evening (Will and Jodi's): Upfront lemon aromas and flavors with nice style, but just not in the same league as the others in the flight. Noticeably declining after an hour in glass. Guessed by all as the 2011 village wine among more mature 1er Crus, this might have shone more in different company. Fourth place.

January 25, 2014 - Took a few minutes to open up but turned into a creamy delight. Lacked the depth of some other Chards I've had but lovely with some baked clams.

August 5, 2013 - Slightly creamy with some buttery toast flavor. Not intense but pleasant and easy drinking.
