March 30, 2024 - Big black fruit on the palate and baking spice with a little vanilla on the nose makes this wine really intriguing. Still great acidity, allowing this wine to outlast a ton of other 2010's that turned flabby after their 10th birthday. Last of my original purchase from the winery upon release.
March 24, 2023 - Wine is still young and can go for 5 more years.
July 22, 2022 - Really drinking well now- polished tannins, blackberry and leather notes with a touch of oakiness. Smooth and extended finish.
January 30, 2021 - 1 hour decant- big fruit forward wine that is overall enjoyable but a bit disjointed still. Finish is nice and the price point is about right. Overall- paired well with Italian food and is in prime. Will hold for another 5 plus years. This wine needs food.
August 31, 2020 - Drink now. No need to age any further.
April 18, 2020 - This is a fairly classic high quality Napa Cab. Dark fruit (but not jammy) with some cedar and alluvial notes on the back end. Nice balanced tannins with a moderate finish. Nothing unique, just a great Napa offering that begs to accompanied with a hearty meal.
Day two reveals a similar profile with less cedar although the alluvial, soil notes are a bit more prominent.
December 27, 2019 - better than my last bottle - rich and smooth with black currant and blackberry as well as rich chocolate notes. My kind of cab at a decent Napa price ($70 ish)
October 29, 2019 - Had with Miller and Bruce a few weeks ago. Decanted for about a couple hours. From memory this was a young but very drinkable cab with incredible depth of fruit, well balanced and very bold... Not bashful in the slightest. Enjoyed it immensely
May 4, 2019 - Almost exactly two years later and this bottle is still a powerhouse. It's a little softer and fruit is more forward. The time is now.
December 5, 2018 - Amazing. Needs a two hour decant at this age. Probably had some room to run but no need to wait any longer. Chewy and full mouthfeel. Dark fruit and very smooth palate with nuance and balance. It has a long finish and is not a glass you’ll want to put down.
