December 31, 2023 - Popped and poured from a 375ml. Great nose of dark, roasted plum and black cherry with sweet pipe tobacco, roasted tomato, cedar cigar box, some green/herbal notes and a touch of creme de cassis. Similar flavors on the palate with a nice mix of savory flavors and dark, ripe fruit. Medium+ acidity. Medium tannins. Smooth finish. Drinking great.
October 27, 2020 - Just too jammy and fruit forward for my taste.
September 4, 2020 - PnP. There I something about Match wines that just hit the spot. Black fruit, layers of spice in a rugged but balanced package.
March 14, 2020 - Shows a wide range of fruits without being too fruit forward. Blackberry, black cherry, raspberry and even a bit of red apple on the finish. This is all held together with firm structure and secondary character.
December 11, 2019 - From a 375 and still very fresh. Probably about prime but no rush. Red/black currants and cherry, earth and oak. Medium almost integrated acid/tannins.
March 17, 2019 - This was my last of this wine. It will be missed.
March 24, 2018 - Well passed prime.
February 28, 2018 - PnP from a 375. This still shows young even from a 375 with strong tannins on the backend. That said, great balance up to the finish with black fruit dominating. Plenty of upside potential.
December 20, 2016 - This is still rather young, tannic, and still showing oak. Don't get me wrong, it's enjoyable, and I managed to polish off a 375 over a steak, but I was wrong in assuming that my 375s would be good to do. Let them sleep.
November 3, 2016 - From a 375. Same as two years ago.
