Monopole vineyard owned by Francois Pinault's Artemis Group (owner of Chateau Latour and Domaine d'Eugenie), who purchased it from the Mommessin family in October 2017.
Critic tasting note: "Big and tannic, while at the same time potentially rich and smooth, this is, as always, an impressive wine. It has weight and dense texture. A solid wine that shows great potential; for now, revel in the plum juice and final acidity that provide a bright counterpoint to the solid, brooding structure." - 95/100, Wine Enthusiast

- Vintage Notes
-
Notable for being a particularly early vintage, 2007 saw some producers in Burgundy harvest in August! Due to a warm spring, the vines were in full bloom at Clos de Tart on 23rd May, a full three weeks earlier than normal. April was uncharacteristically hot and dry, with 7 days over 28°C and only 1.2mm of rainfall. However, the summer that followed was rather gloomy and these conditions required stringent canopy management (leaf thinning, green harvest). The grapes started to change colour mid-July and thanks to the return of sunny and dry weather on 20th August, they ripened in ideal conditions.

Deep ruby robe. Very attractive on the nose with floral aromas of violet and rose that mingle gracefully with black fruits, licorice, coffee and earthy notes. A powerful wine supported by rich tannins yet incredibly elegant with a long and poised finish that has mineral accents and saline nuances.

For Burgundy, the 2007 vintage had some highlights.
The growing season got off to a fine start with a spectacularly warm April, but then conditions abruptly changed. Cool, damp weather set in for the duration of the summer and the endless dank days allowed both mildew an...
