April 24, 2023 - An excellent Cab with dark fruit, forest floor, hint of spice, all nicely balanced with long finish. Tannins are well integrated.

November 8, 2022 - 13.5% abv. Dark ruby, very aromatic. A fully evolved claret, drinking beautifully. Red cherry, cassis, mint, a touch of tobacco and saddle leather. Excellent body, length and depth. Suave. Will probably hold for several more years, but why wait?

October 15, 2020 - (no formal tasting notes)
Decanted for two hours and drank with a grilled ribeye. Beautifully perfumed with black currant, tobacco, spice box, herbs, earth, and some subtle red bell pepper jam. Great fruit concentration but also rather savory, as a Santa Cruz cab should be. Full bodied, with silky tannins, refreshing acidity, seamless alcohol (13.5%), and a long finish. A very special bottle of wine that is drinking wonderfully right now in its middle age!2 people found this helpful Comment -

May 17, 2020 - Mountain Bordeaux Blend. 82% Cab, 16% Merlot, 2% PV. Delicious fruit and minerals. Hint of Tobacco and graphite on the end. Vibrant. High Toned. In a great place right now.
