August 5, 2017 - Excellent wine, tannins have softened, great lingering finish
June 24, 2017 - See Schott note.
June 17, 2017 - Served initially at cellar temp 55F (13C). Deep burgundy/violet - very opaque. Minimum residue in bottle. Long legs. Wonderful nose. Strong fruit - cherry, blackberry. Hints of bitters - chocolate or cola. Medium plus alcohol. Soft, plush, well integrated tannins. Long finish. Excellent now, but has much more life left in it. 92-94 pts. 100% Cabernet, Alexander Valley.
May 21, 2016 - At this point the wine is showing a tremendous amount of heat and moderate tannins and acid. It is medium to full bodied and exhibits both jammy red fruit and black fruit. Long finish. Best to decant for a couple of hours before drinking. Give this one a few more years of cellaring.
August 3, 2014 - Took a while to open up, but after that look out. Some leather, tobacco, and dark fruit on the nose. A little tannic on the palette, smoothed out during the evening and drank exceptionally well.
November 7, 2013 - 100% Cab. Nose shows baking spice, black cherry, blackberry. Palate is delicious combo of approachable fruit, layers of black fruit, oak layers, cassis, dark chocolate, velvet tannins of medium plus intensity. Medium plus finish. Very good wine. Should really be singing in a couple of years.
