February 11, 2022 - Translucent ruby. Nose of airy violets, plum blossom, berry, iodine, stone. Layers of ripe raspberry fruit, deep-drilling black cherry, licorice, and fine rock. Brisk acidity and structured tannin. Long finish of pristine, slightly astringent stony dark fruit. Still young but lots of promise.

February 7, 2022 - Blind. Some sweet-and-sourness, some complexity, quite developed, dark fruit.

December 27, 2021 - Purple tinged maroon color.

Fairly exotic nose for a pinot... olive, cured meat, pepper (almost like a lean northern rhone).

Lovely balance on the palate. Red cherries and raspberries, citrus peel, wet rock, finishes with some chili pepper. Lovely acidity and the fruit is ripe but not at all cloying.

A complex an interesting expression of California Pinot Noir.

August 21, 2021 - Nearly opaque dark ruby. Nose of airy dark raspberry, violets, damp cellar, packed earth. With 4 hours of air, layers of sweet black raspberry, brier, anise, and iodine cascading on the palate. Still-structured tannin and potent acidity. Longer finish of precise dark berry with a good degree of nuance and complexity. Still a ways to go but beautiful and very satisfying already.

April 2, 2021 - Brilliant translucent ruby. Nose o fresh cut berry, clouds of violets, stony earth, iodine. Impeccably precise layers of tart, sweet red raspberry and Bing cherry fruit on the velvet-textured palate cut with rock and iron. Firm but smoothed tannin balanced by crisp, fresh acidity. Long finish of brisk red fruit grounded in fine soil and iron. Ethereal, earthy, ebullient.
