December 20, 2016 - Pale orange-tinged garnet. Aroma is cooked cherries, hints of wood smoke. Very silky mouthfeel. Succulent tart cherry fruit with pleasingly bitter finish characteristic of the grape. Very different expression of pinot noir that Pacific northwest or CA...I really like this Finger Lakes version, this an excellent, well-made wine. Drinking wonderfully at 8 years and should do well with more age.
