September 29, 2023 - Yumma! This is a classically styled crunchy ripe M-a-V that is now in top form. Steely and crunchy. This is exactly the sort of bojo I love to drink.

January 15, 2021 - Dark purple, but not bright like a typical bojo

Nose has pronounced and lovely cherry/ wild blackberry pie aromas along with sweet spices and flowers.

In the mouth it is medium to full bodies and opens with lush smoky black cherry fruit that jumps quickly in the mouth to red raspberry as the vibrant acidity kick into gear. There is obvious oak applied to this wine and it finishes creamy and long, with lingering ripe red cherry nicely presented.

Overall, a solid modern style wine, quite delicious and easy to drink. However, it is lacking terrior and sense of place. Blind, I would have guess a modern style Italian Barbera. I like Barbera, so I like this wine, it just doesn't seem like a BoJo.

I have another bottle, I will hold for a couple more years at least, it seems to be just entering the prime drinking window. No sign of fading. Drink 2021- 2031.

May 7, 2017 - With a soupçon of burgundy elegance injected into this adequately aged gamay, there was little trace of purple or Beaujolais emphasis. A very smooth assemblage of well- integrated smoked cherry, moist earth, bramble scents and a dark black/ red color. Little on the nose.

Having said all of that, and acknowledging the refined hands at work, this was not as interesting as a 2104, more characteristic, Foillard or a fine Bourgogne rouge from 2015, both of which would reflect better their terroirs.

January 22, 2017 - Either a bad bottle or truly unremarkable. Had a slight fizz, noted by others here, upon opening. Did not meaningfully improve on the palate over several hours of decanting (the fizz did go away though), with no real complexity and no secondary notes. Raspberry compote with minimal sugar on the palate.

May 21, 2015 - Perhaps the least typicity of any wine I've ever had. if blind I would have guessed petite sirah. Knowing this was a Beaujolais while drinking was interesting but also dumbfounding. Inky deep purple bramble blackberry. Slight tannins. No fizz on my bottle. OK for the price but don't buy this expecting bojo
